Bring your TV to life.

90% of food businesses have a TV mounted on the wall. Less than 5% use it to sell. That screen you leave off is costing you money every day, and activating it doesn’t require swapping it or hiring anyone.

01 · The sleeping asset

The most underused asset in your business is hanging on the wall.

Walk into any restaurant. Full room, clatter of plates, smell of frying oil. In a corner, above the register, a 50-inch TV playing the news on mute. Nobody’s watching. It’s been on for 4 years on the same channel, in the same corner, without selling a single extra plate.

That scene repeats in 8 out of 10 restaurants, clothing stores, gyms, and waiting rooms. The TV is already bought. Already installed. Already burning electricity. Already taking up the best visual spot in the venue — the one any outside advertiser would gladly pay to rent. And yet it works as an expensive decoration.

The real cost isn’t the electricity. It’s the waiters handing out dessert flyers nobody reads. It’s the printed menu you reprint every two months when prices change. It’s the customer who sits down, looks around for something to order, and ends up ordering the same as always because nothing on the wall told them about today’s promo.

A TV that’s off isn’t neutral. It’s a silent salesperson working for your competition, because when someone stares at a screen that says nothing, their head fills up with whatever it wants. Almost never with your menu.

A TV in the best corner of your venue is a billboard you already paid for. You’re wasting it.
02 · The three myths

Why your TV isn’t selling, and why it’s not your fault.

For 20 years, the digital signage industry sold complexity as if it were quality. Industrial monitors priced out of any small business’s budget, certified technicians, annual contracts, enterprise platforms with 300-page manuals. The result: 95% of small businesses assumed activating their TV wasn’t for them. These are the 3 myths that hold that idea in place.

  1. Myth 01

    I need a special screen.

False. Any TV with an HDMI input works: the 32-inch Samsung above your bar, the LG in the gym, the TV you bought 6 years ago for the office. The industrial monitors the industry pushes exist to justify their own prices, not because your regular TV can’t handle showing your menu.

  2. Myth 02

I need a technician to install it.

Also false. The SONORO Player is a box the size of a wallet that plugs into your TV’s HDMI port and a power outlet. The cashier, the receptionist, or you on a Saturday morning can install it. The industry standard is 1 to 4 hours of a certified technician. Our standard is 15 minutes and a YouTube video.

  3. Myth 03

    It’s expensive and complicated.

Think about how much you paid for the TV already on the wall. Now imagine that the player that activates it costs less than that TV, one-time, no mandatory monthly fees, no annual contracts, no agency in the middle. You change it from your phone as many times a day as you want. The question is no longer how much it costs to activate it. It’s how much you’ve been losing by leaving it off.

When the 3 myths fall, one uncomfortable question is left: if this is so simple, why is your TV still off? The answer is almost always that nobody told you without the fluff. Distributors live off selling complexity. Agencies live off charging you to swap one image. We live off you installing the player yourself and leaving it running.

03 · What it is, what it isn’t

Bringing your TV to life isn’t what the industry has been selling.

Worth being precise, because the category is full of confusing labels. Bringing your TV to life isn’t renting an ad network like those mall screens where your brand shows up for 10 seconds every 3 hours mixed with the competition. It isn’t swapping your TV for a pricey pro display that does exactly what the one you already have does. And it isn’t hiring an agency that charges you every time you want to change the digital poster.

Bringing your TV to life is turning the TV you already have into your own channel. Your channel. Your brand on the screen, your menu, your hours, your promos. You change content when you want, from wherever you want, without calling anyone. The difference between renting space on someone else’s billboard and owning your own storefront in the best corner of the venue.

Not other people’s ads on your screen. Your brand speaking for your brand, in the corner that already belongs to you.
04 · What to show

What to show on your TV based on what your business does.

This is the question we get most, and also the easiest to answer: everything you currently print, hand out, or say out loud. Good content on a screen replaces a poster, saves your staff explanations, and pushes a decision that wouldn’t have happened without the screen. These are the combos that work best in each sector.

  • RestaurantsThe menu that updates itself.

Today’s special, lunch-hour promos, the dessert you want to move more of, the WiFi, prices that no longer depend on reprinting the menu.

Good ideas rotating vertical menu, 15-second video of the signature dish, QR code for orders, happy-hour countdown.

  • Clinics and practicesEducation and calm in the waiting room.

Current ticket number, estimated wait time, visit protocols, prevention campaigns, brand identity. Waiting anxiety drops when the patient knows what’s going on.

Good ideas visible ticket counter, 30-second educational clips, doctors’ schedules, payment info and accepted insurance.

  • Retail and fashionThe storefront that changes every day.

Rotating lookbook, deals of the day, new arrivals, sales rep’s WhatsApp, short video of the product in use. The screen sells when the salesperson is busy with someone else.

Good ideas before-and-after, crossed-out prices, items featured by size available, countdown to end of season.

  • GymsMotivation and logistics on one screen.

Class schedule, current plans, real member transformations, branded music, monthly challenges. The member sees the screen every time they rest between sets.

Good ideas circuit timer, group class of the day, referral plan, trainer bios.

  • Barbershops, spa, beautyThe portfolio you see while you wait.

Cuts available, add-on services, video testimonials, second-visit promo, the venue’s social handles. The customer decides what to ask for by seeing what others already got.

Good ideas gallery of recent work, prices per service, monthly booking, discount code for next appointment.

  • Professional servicesSilent authority while they help you.

Case studies, track record, portfolio, testimonials, office calendar. In vets, opticians, notaries, real estate: the screen builds trust without you having to sell it in person.

Good ideas years in business, number of clients served, key partnerships, service protocols.

05 · The three components

Everything you need to activate your TV.

Contrary to what the industry usually sells, there’s no 12-box kit here and no compatibility list. It’s 3 things, and 1 of the 3 you already have.

  1. The TV already on your wall.

Any brand, any size, any year. The only requirement is an HDMI input, which every TV sold since 2010 has. It doesn’t need to be smart or the latest model.

  2. The SONORO Player.

A box the size of a wallet that plugs into the TV’s HDMI and a power outlet. It’s the brain that pulls your content from the cloud and puts it on screen. You install it once and leave it running.

  3. Your phone, your computer, or both.

The SONORO web panel opens in any browser. From there you upload images, videos, schedule playlists, manage multiple screens if you have multiple locations. Nothing to install, no design skills required, no special permissions.

06 · Installation

15 minutes, without calling anyone.

This is where most people assume they need technical help and where most people are surprised they don’t. If you can plug in a cable TV box, you can install SONORO. The full step-by-step is this:

  1. Plug the HDMI cable from the player into the TV.

Any free HDMI port. If none are free, a cheap adapter fixes it.

  2. Plug the player into a power outlet.

Regular outlet, cable included in the box. If there’s no outlet nearby, a power strip works too.

  3. Turn on the TV and switch to the player’s HDMI input.

The SONORO welcome screen shows up. If it shows up, it’s working.

  4. Connect the player to your WiFi from your phone.

Same flow as any household device. Takes 2 minutes.

  5. Upload your first image from the web panel.

Photo of your menu, video of a promo, welcome poster. In 30 seconds it shows up on screen.

That’s it. If something doesn’t work the first time, you message us on WhatsApp, someone from SONORO connects to the player remotely and solves it without having to visit your venue. Distance stops being a problem.

07 · The cost question

The right question isn’t how much it costs.

Every time someone messages us, the first question is usually how much it costs. It’s a fair question, but it’s the wrong one. The right question, the one that gives you back the business perspective, is different: how much have you already been spending, without knowing it, on not having the screen working.

Think about a year. Menu reprints, flyers, printed signage, local radio ads, delivery-app commissions that promote your dishes for you because yours don’t reach the customer. Add it up. Compare that number with what it would cost to have your own channel running in the best corner of your venue, every day of the year, for the next 5.

We already gave part of the answer in the third myth. Repeating it here because it’s worth repeating: the player costs less than the TV already on the wall, you pay for it once, there are no mandatory fees, and it works until you decide to turn it off. The rest of the math you do yourself.

08 · Frequently asked

What people ask before writing.

Does it work with any TV?

Yes, as long as it has an HDMI input. Applies to Samsung, LG, Sony, TCL, Hisense, Vizio and pretty much any brand sold in the last 15 years. Doesn’t matter if it’s smart or not.

Do I need permanent internet?

You need internet to make content changes and for updates. Once synced, content keeps playing even if the connection drops. WiFi or ethernet, both work.

Can I manage multiple screens from the same panel?

Yes. A single panel runs 1 screen, 5, or 50 across multiple locations. You can group by city, by venue, by screen orientation, and send different content to each group.

What if the power goes out?

When power comes back, the player turns on by itself and picks up where it left off. Nothing to restart, nothing to reconfigure.

Do I need design skills to create the content?

No. Phone photos, screenshots from your social feeds, videos you already have of your products — all work. For those who want more, any Canva template exports in the right format with one click.

How does it look if I have the TV horizontal or vertical?

Both orientations work the same. The panel lets you create playlists specific to each orientation, so a horizontal TV in your bar and a vertical one in your window show content built for that shape.

What if something breaks or I stop needing it?

The player is under warranty. If one day you decide not to use it, you just unplug it. No contract to cancel, no cancellation fees.

Message us on WhatsApp. Nobody’s going to send you a 28-question form or hand you off to a commission-based sales rep. A short conversation to understand what you have today, what you’d like to show, and whether SONORO fits your case or not. If it doesn’t fit, we tell you that too.
